Voici donc la nouvelle série animée LEGO Star Wars : The Freemaker Adventures. Prévue cet été sur Disney XD, elle se déroulera entre l’Episode V The Empire Strikes Back et l’Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
Deux des sets LEGO Star Wars du second semestre 2016 seront tirés de ces Freemaker Adventures : 75145 Eclipse Fighter et 75147 Star Scavenger.
Ces Freemakers sont une famille de chasseurs d’épaves qui construisent et vendent des vaisseaux à partir de pièces et débris récupérés sur des vaisseaux détruits. Et quand la Force commence à se manifester chez le plus jeune d’entre eux à cause d’un ancien artefact (le Kyber Saber), les ennuis avec l’Empire commencent… Comme toujours, la série suivra donc des personnages inédits, mais nous permettra de croiser régulièrement des visages familiers !

Told in the whimsically-charged style that audiences have come to expect from LEGO Star Wars entertainment, the series stars the Freemakers, a family of scavengers who build and sell starships from the scoured debris of space battles strewn throughout the galaxy. When their youngest discovers a natural connection with the Force through an ancient artifact — the Kyber Saber — his world is turned upside down, and he and his family are thrown into an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy. Throughout their adventures, the Freemakers explore new worlds, meet new and familiar characters, and learn the true value of what it means to be a family.

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures is a production of Wil Film, the LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm. Developed for television by Bill Motz and Bob Roth (Penguins of Madagascar), they join Torsten Jacobson (LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales) and Jill Wilfert (The LEGO Movie) as executive producers alongside producers Carrie Beck (Star Wars Rebels), Jason Cosler (LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Avengers Reassembled!), Jake Blais, and John McCormack.
